Strengthen The Spirit - Fight The Flesh

We are born into sin, it is our spiritual DNA.

We Can’t be Saved by:

  • Religion
  • Good Works
  • Obeying the Law

The Cross deflects the world, the devil and the flesh!

When we fail, we don't justify and accept it. We repent and we also forgive others and our Heavenly Father forgives us! Mark 11:25

NOW there is NO Condemnation for those who are IN CHRIST - Romans 8:1

Devotional: Read Romans 8:1-11

  1. If Christ doesn't condemn you, you shouldn't condemn yourself. Walk in the Spirit and fight the flesh. The victory belongs to those that are in Christ, so stay in Christ.

  2. God is really helping us fight the flesh to prepare us for the days ahead. The law doesn't have the power to save or to help us overcome, but the Spirit of God does; praise the Lord. Where would we be without the friendship of the Holy Spirit?

  3. The cross has so much power; we can only be saved by the work done on it. Our righteousness is worthless, and yet while we were still sinners living according to the powerless law JESUS CAME TO DIE SO WE MIGHT LIVE IN VICTORY!!!!

  4. Pastor is sooooo on point!!! The Law which is holy, just and good, is unable to make me holy, just and good. It's like looking into a mirror. The mirror shows my blemishes, but I cannot rub my face in the mirror to remove them = thus our need for a Saviour. He did not come to do away with the Law, but to fulfill it. Thank you Jesus for your FINISHED work on the cross!!!

  5. In this season where we are learning to live in the Spirit & fight the flesh. I am thankful for the reminder that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ. For those days when I have let my flesh take a little too much control, God's grace is there to help me get back on track.

  6. Without Jesus we are powerless to obey the Law. There is only but one Name (Jesus) that we can all be saved, overcome and have victory in every area of our lives. We must learn to be forgive, confess our sins and be quick to repent. Jesus, I am eternally gratefull for the ultimate scarifice you made paid on the Cross!!!

  7. Jesus did all the work for us. He came to earth and gave His life so that we might have life. Not only that, but He also gave us His Holy Spirit. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in us. So now, we have not just been instructed to live holy lives but EMPOWERED to live holy, victorious lives. We have victory over our flesh, the world and the devil and we need to continue to exercise that power that's been given to us. Thank you Lord for giving us the VICTORY!
