You have a 'Never Give Up' Character

Romans 5:1-5 & 2 Corinthians 11:23-28
In order to experience victory in every area of your life, you need to develop a 'Never Give Up' character!  Today Pastor Kevin Begley reminded us to rejoice in the TRIALS we experience because they produce ENDURANCE, which means "to bear up courageously, to stand while under pressure."

Realize that endurance produces strong CHARACTER, but if you give up, the trials you are experiencing will not produce the strong character required to win the victory!

And finally, to get over that finish line as the First Place Winner, the strong character you have developed through endurance will produce the HOPE required!

CHALLENGE: Thank God for the trials and allow them to produce endurance, strong character & hope in you this week!

  1. An absolutely amazing message! Pastor Kevin really knows how to unpack the Word of God in such a way that we can understand it, see its relevance in today's world and find ways to apply it in our lives. After reading what Paul went through, what I used to consider tough times are really a cake-walk! Thanks again Pastor. You really are raising the bar in taking our walk with the Lord to new heights so we can affect the world around us.

  4. This word was timely. The message yesterday really taught me how to shut up and press in. What is there to complain about? Thanks Pastor for bringing alive the Word of God with such clear understanding.

  5. The word yesterday was very encouraging. Being a first time mother one has to have an enduring character, in order to function day to day. I am learing to adapt to this new face it can be a struggle at times. This week and beyone I am challenging myself to stand strong and as pastor quoted my favourite verse yesterday Phillipians 4:12" I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me".

  6. When you feel like quitting, the words you get in church will help you to hold on. This is exemplified with the story Pastor mentioned regarding Pilot Henry Dempsey who got sucked part-way out of his plane. When he landed, they found him with his face 12 inches off the runway and with his hands so tight around the rails that his fingers had to be pried open.
If only the church can grasp this; even close to death, no matter the circumstances, hold on to Christ and never let go. Don't let anything stop you from reaching your destiny.

  7. DON'T GIVE UP! I am encouraged. To bear up under the pressure since after all Paul went through I don't really have pressures. I like this that Pastor Kevin said "rejoice in the midst not for what you are going through but to what you are going to", this struck a cord in me and really encourages me to rejoice in every situation and to bear up.
Thanks alot Pastor for giving the WORD to us without compromise and is clearly understood.
