Incredible You - Part 6

Every person in this place has been called by God to
MAKE A MOMENTOUS IMPACT!

What a HISTORY MAKING church is to be like:
"Among the prophets and teachers of the church at Antioch of Syria were Barnabas, Simeon (called "the black man"), Lucius (from Cyrene), Manaen (the childhood companion of King Herod Antipas ), and Saul. One day as these men were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Dedicate Barnabas and Saul for the special work I have for them." So after more fasting and prayer, the men laid their hands on them and sent them on their way." ~Acts 13:1-3

Our faith isn’t built on Laws or Rules.  It's not about:
  • What you Eat
  • What you Wear
  • The length of your Hair
When we come to know Jesus, our PRIMARY identity is not our Religion, Race or our Culture, but it is CHRIST.

-- In this Place God’s PLAN for the church BEGAN --

God's plan was that ALL RACES, ALL CULTURES and ALL BACKGROUNDS would come together united under the banner of Jesus Christ.

In John 13:35 we read, "By this all men will know that you are my followers, IF you love one another."

LOVE means "goodwill, acts of kindness, one Christian toward another prompted by their unity in Christ"

The Church must REFLECT the Heart of God
  1. WORKING TOGETHER

Look at Acts 13:1: "Among the prophets and teachers of the church at Antioch of Syria were Barnabas, Simeon (called "the black man"), Lucius (from Cyrene), Manaen (the childhood companion of King Herod Antipas) and Saul.
This was the leadership of the New Testament Church:
  • Barnabas – he was a Jew
  • Simeon from Niger (present day Nigeria) – was African
  • Manaen who grew up in the house of Herod - was a Greek
  • Lucius from Cyrene of Northern Africa – Present day Lybia
  • Saul from Tarsus – a man from modern day Turkey
God is looking for: ONENESS Not SAMENESS

Working in a multicultural environment is so incredible because we:
  • LEARN to Appreciate other cultures
  • LISTEN to Understand that there are different ways of doing things
  • LOVE Each Other and our Differences combined together only makes us better!
  1.  WORSHIPPING TOGETHER

"All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee."
    ~Psalm 22:27
Heaven is a…
  • Place of POWER: "There is Loud, exuberant praise – joined together in chorus the voices of the multitudes of angels and millions of believers worshipping in harmony – so great that it sounds like peals of thunder." ~Revelation 14:2
  • Place of BEAUTY: God’s magnificent beauty reflecting off of emeralds, sapphires, rubies, and all kinds of precious stones. "And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a Sardis stone; and there was a rainbow round about the throne..." ~Revelation 4:3

  • Place of UNITY: "And they sang a new song: 'You are worthy ….with your blood you purchased men for God from every TRIBE and LANGUAGE and PEOPLE and NATION. ~Revelation 5:9
"RACISM HAS NO PLACE IN HEAVEN, SO IT HAS NO PLACE IN THE CHURCH!"
Jesus said in Matthew 6:10 "May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven."

Heaven is a place of Unity in Diversity - NOT Division in difference
  1.  WITNESSING TOGETHER

"So after more fasting and prayer, the men laid their hands on them and sent them on their way." ~Acts 13:3
Go therefore teaching all nations…. Matt 28:19

That is why we need to be GENUINELY:
  • Sharing
  • Caring
  • Embracing
